My name is Sam and I am a 30-something year old from the little island of Malta! I work as a full time physiotherapist at the state hospital, but my true passions are travel, photography, food and animals!

I started this blog to share my experiences of my travels abroad, as well as bits and pieces of my daily life. To remind myself of where I’ve been and where I still want to go (literally and figuratively speaking).

It all started in late 2015. I had just been through a major life change (breaking up with a partner of 12 years, shattering a life built together; not a easy feat), which had left me lost, and broken. I was depressed, angry and scared about what my future held. Everything I knew had been torn apart, leaving me exposed, lonely and afraid. It was the worst time of my life. That is when the magic happened. I decided to take control of my situation; do what I want to do, be who I want to be. Met an amazing guy who I adore and have been living with ever since, and started doing what I love more often, travelling (and eating haha)!! Travel has always been my true passion. Exploring the world is a healthy habit I developed at a young age, thanks to my amazing parents who always found the time, and extra cash to take my sister and I on yearly family vacations. Once I caught the bug, I was addicted. I hadn’t been travelling as much as I liked up until 2016, due to my personal situation. That changed when I decided to finally take control of my life and do what I really want to do. I have since travelled 15 times (so far), visiting 9 different countries in the span of two years. I plan to continue travelling, as well as enjoying the simple pleasures of my day to day life on the small rock of an island I call home.

Where I’ve been: Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Slovenia, Poland, Estonia, Norway, Iceland, Tunisia, Austria, England, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, USA, UAE, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.

Where I want to go: Everywhere else! Although my dream destination has to be Argentina, specifically Patagonia. Still have a so much to do and see!

Please, feel free to follow me on my adventures, both grand and small, through this journey we call life. It might not always be exciting, but beauty is often found in even the simplest, most familiar experiences.
