Ok, right now I’m seriously craving another little adventure… Anything would do, a short weekend break in Sicily, a couple of days in Amsterdam, a week in Portugal??? The options are endless, the finances on the other hand are a different story… I’m trying to save up cash you see…. Future projects are brewing, need to save money to spend money, so saving I am (or at least I’m trying my best to). So right now, I have no pending travel plans… Very out of character, giving me anxiety problems (seriously, it hurts…)
I’m trying something new. Trying to look at the positivity that is ‘HOME’. To be perfectly honest I do love my home. It’s an overcrowded little island, too much cars, too many people. It can get loud, messy, aggravating and fucking hellish at times, but it’s home. I love the people of my country, even though I hate them with equal measure at times. I love the weather here, the architecture, the FOOD, and most of all, the warmth my little island exudes… Both literate and figurative kind.

Found this beautiful quote about returning home, which gave me a little warm, “glowy” feeling inside, so I decided to share it with all of you…

“Travel does not exist without coming home… If we never return to the place we started, we would just be wandering, lost. Home is a reflecting surface, a place to measure our growth and enrich us after being infused with the outside world.”
Josh Gates
As much as I love to explore this beautiful world of ours, returning home is always a bittersweet experience for me. I long for adventure, yet I yearn for the familiarity of my own bed, kitchen, bathroom… The pattern that shapes my daily life… It might get boring at times, it often gets irritating and tiring, yet it is lined with the beauty that is family, love and comfort. I’m lucky to live in such a beautiful country… It may not be perfect, but on some occasions, it gets pretty damn close. ❤

Plenty of beautiful words and thoughts 💖 I’ve been visiting Malta twice and love it at the first sight! I would go back and walk on Gozo’s quiet paths again. I’ll be back some day- I have to… 😍

Thank you for your kind words. I must admit, Gozo is one of my favourite places too. It’s Malta’s quieter, beautiful sister. So glad you enjoy my home country so much! ❤

I perfectly understand your feelings! I feel exactly like you! I feel anxious when I don’t have travel plans yet I don’t think I would be able to leave Malta for good. Nice words 🙂

Exactly! Home is always home. However much we love leaving, not returning is never an option. ❤
